In mid-July some religious buildings opened for worship services, but our own Church of Scotland regulations are rightly cautious, and the procedures for re-opening Langbank Church are currently being studied within its committees. As with many churches, the building will re-open when all the boxes are ticked and the Kirk Session judges that the time is right. Outdoor summer services are still effectively disallowed.
On Tuesday, the schools re-open and our thoughts and prayers are with everyone concerned. Normally it is the P1s and First Years we think of at this time of year, (along with their mums and dads!) but this year will be a challenge to everyone, after such a long break, and with new regulations to contend with.
Bless our children and young people
as they return to school this week.
Keep them safe and healthy
and eager to learn about your world.
Bless all the teachers and other staff
in the new challenges they face this term. Amen
